As well as tutoring creative writing, I also teach comedy to children who particularly love funny stories. Using exercises from comedy writing and improvisation, as well as tools I’ve made up, they learn how to create funny scenes, characters, sketches, and stories.

I’ve been writing funny books for children since 2012 and performing improvised comedy since 2017. Writing humour is a different way of engaging with creative writing, which both reluctant writers and those who are already keen writers find motivating, and most of all, fun!

Get in touch if you’re interested in creative writing sessions for your child with a focus on comedy.

And in case you’re worried, it’s definitely not all about poo. That’s the kind of humour kids don’t need my help with! (Poo is hilarious though, obviously.)
